11/11/13

CanSAR, a database developed at the Cancer Research UK Cancer Therapeutics Unit here at The Institute of Cancer Research, London, has just been updated with powerful new artificial intelligence tools that will help scientists to make the discoveries that defeat cancer.

Dr Bissan Al-Lazikani, Team Leader in Computational Biology and Chemogenomics at the Institute of Cancer Research, and leader of the CanSAR project talked to us about building the world's biggest disease database, and the challenge of working with more data than would be generated by 1 million years of use of the Hubble space telescope.
