Will for Free

Our Will for Free service means you can make or update your Will, and the ICR will cover the cost. Most people who use this service leave a gift in their Will to us, which helps raise vital funds for our world-leading cancer research.

Why is leaving a gift to the ICR in your Will so important?

Gifts left to us in Wills are hugely important to us. They have underpinned our discoveries and achievements, leading to better diagnosis and treatments.

For example, a generous legacy gift from Mr Mullard enabled us to purchase a new flow cytometer machine. With this cutting-edge piece of equipment, we can now analyse cell samples more quickly and in more detail than ever before. Seven lasers distinguish between up to twenty six different colour combinations in cell samples – a level of complexity not previously possible.

Cancer research is a long term endeavour and gifts like Mr Mullard’s are vital to ensuring our life-saving research continues. By remembering the ICR with a gift in your Will, you will be providing our scientists with the knowledge that the support and resources they need will be available for many years to come.

We keep in regular contact with our solicitors, but unfortunately, they may withdraw from the programme without informing us. If this is the case when you contact a solicitor, please get in touch.

If you know of a solicitor in your area who you think would like to support the ICR and Will for Free do let us know.

Programme member

Chloe was first introduced to the ICR’s Will for Free programme by a previous employer, so when she left to set up her own firm, she decided to continue partnering with the ICR.

“Lots of my clients can’t believe it’s actually free! Many comment on how easy it is to use the programme, and go on to recommend it to their family and friends, which is very positive.”
