Head of Research Support (corporate role) Dr Becky Cook Dr Becky Cook is Head of Research Support at The Institute of Cancer Research. She oversees our large strategic grant applications and is supporting the ICR's next submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF), which is the definitive government evaluation of the quality and impact of research at UK universities.

Dr Fatemeh Ahmadi Moughari is a bioinformatician working in the Functional Genomics Team, led by Rachael Natrajan, and the Bioinformatics Team, led by Syed Haider. She joined the ICR from her home country of Iran where she completed her PhD in anti-cancer drug response at Shahid Beheshti University.
"I really enjoy the multidisciplinary atmosphere here and it’s the thing that stood out when I first joined the ICR."

Dr Fabienne Beuron is the Electron Microscopy Facility Manager in the ICR's Division of Structural Biology.
"My work uses electron microscopes to help scientists in the Division obtain the best images of their macromolecular complexes so that they can determine their 3D structure."

Postdoctoral Training Fellow (scientific role) Dr Giulio Caravagna is a Postdoctoral Training Fellow at The Institute of Cancer Research, working in Professor Andrea Sottoriva's Evolutionary Genomics and Modelling team, and jointly supervised by Professor Louis Chesler, Professor of Paediatric Solid Tumour Therapeutics.

Project Surveyor – Centre for Cancer Drug Discovery (corporate role) Jess Barnes is a Project Manager and Surveyor in the Estates team at The Institute of Cancer Research, currently focusing on the Centre for Cancer Drug Discovery – a project she has been involved in since construction began.

Elicia Fyle is a Scientific Officer working in the Paediatric Solid Tumour Biology and Therapeutics team, in Professor Louis Chesler's lab.
"Life-saving treatments for cancer patients start at the lab bench. My role in conducting experiments such as Western blots to detect whether there are changes in protein expression leads to effective drugs being developed for patient benefit."

He helps develop relationships between researchers at the ICR and organisations and companies who may want to work with us, in order to build the ICR's commercial revenue and accelerate treatments getting to patients.
