Share your story
We always want to hear from people who have a cancer story to share. Get in touch to help us raise awareness of our research.
Our patient advocates talk about why they shared their cancer stories with the ICR
The ICR is one of the world's most influential cancer research organisations – and we are world leaders in identifying cancer genes, discovering cancer drugs and developing precision radiotherapy.
By sharing your personal experience of cancer, you can help us attract more support and funding for our life-saving work – and your story can help inspire others who may be in a similar situation.
Who can share their story?
We would like to hear from anyone who has a connection to cancer – no matter what kind.
Anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer, or whose life has been touched by cancer can support our communications work. Your story will add a personal element to news about our research and show why our work to defeat cancer is so important.
This is your opportunity to tell your story and highlight the experiences of real people affected by cancer.
What happens if I share my story?
Your story might be used in an article on our website, on our social media, or even in the press.
We will talk you through any suitable opportunities that come up to make sure you feel happy about being involved, and we will be on hand to support you every step of the way.
How do I share my story?
You can share your story using our online form. This information goes into our secure database, which you can be removed from at any time upon request.
A member of the ICR's Communications team will then contact you to discuss your story in more depth and talk you through the next steps.
If you have any questions at this stage please email [email protected].
