Many of the biggest challenges in cancer research will only be met by scientists working together in collaboration – including with colleagues on the other side of the world.
In 2015, scientists at The Institute of Cancer Research, London, contributed to more than 700 peer-reviewed articles. Taking a snapshot of the papers published since last year’s World Cancer Day, we can see where the co-authors are based, and put together a map of the ICR’s interactions.
From Argentina to Australia and from Sweden to South Africa, our research has involved collaborations with cancer scientists from more than 70 countries around the world. Fittingly, one of our most recent publications (from 22 January) features some of our closest and furthest collaborators, with co-authors from our partner The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust here in London and one from the University of Auckland in New Zealand.
We look forward to further productive collaborations between ICR scientists and researchers all around the world throughout 2016.
