By following breast cancer cells from the lab bench to the imaging suite, the students gained a feel for the varied nature of life as a research scientist at the ICR.
The students had prepared posters about breast cancer, which they presented to Professor Clare Isacke and members of her lab. Having been quizzed extensively by the students about their work, our researchers then tested the students’ knowledge about cancer and its treatment.
An important part of the ICR’s mission is to educate and train the next generation of cancer researchers, and events such as this are an excellent opportunity for us to inspire students to choose careers in science.
