Stars Take A Model Role At The Tate Modern, In Support Of The Everyman Campaign
On December 3rd Cup Promotions presents the most stylish celebrity-attended event this Christmas, ‘FASHIONABALL’ in the Turbine Hall at Tate Modern. In association with BT Openworld, this exclusive event brings together celebrities, designers and top name DJ’s to raise awareness of The Everyman Campaign, in its fight against Male Cancer.
The FASHIONABALL event is the ultimate way to kick start your Christmas. The main feature of the evening is, a celebrity fashion show where (…in-keeping with the event theme…) ‘Ball Sports’ players trade the pitch for the catwalk. Celebrity models confirmed to take part include Premiership footballers (names to be announced shortly), England rugby players
(Phil Greening, Martin Offiah) and stars from the world of cricket and tennis. Hosts for the evening are Heart FM presenters Harriet Scott and Erika North.
Other celebrities taking part in the fashion show include; Gary Lucy, Joanna Taylor, Lisa Rogers, Judi Shekoni, Select Models (Camilla, Kelly, Kirsten V and Verity) Model Behaviour girls and Rachel, Angela and Emma from Sky One’s Dream Team.
Under the guidance of Esquire’s fashion director Tony Lewis, top name designers and brands such as Damaris, Daniella Helayel, Ylva Lilljefors, Reiss, Camilla Ridley, UTH, All Saints, and Kronk are providing items from their current seasons collection for the fashion show. As associate sponsor of Fashionaball, SKECHERS are providing footwear for the entire fashion show On hand to glam up the stars will be Daniel Galvin’s hair stylist Lino Carbosiero and celebrity make-up artist Lisa Armstrong.
Created by celebrity event organisers, CUP Promotions, ‘FASHIONABALL’ is an invite only event. Guests in attendance (Kirsty Gallacher, Dane Bowers, Jimmy White, Charlie Brooks and footballers Jason Cundy and Mickey Thomas to name but a few) include those celebrities who have supported CUP over the years at other events (The Music Industry Soccer 6, Celebrity Netball 7’s, The Musos). A limited amount of tickets are on sale for corporate purchase only.
Top name DJ’s; Fred Deakin (Lemon Jelly DJ Set), DJ Wise, Eric Soul and Groove And Bass Movement along with DJ’s from Colin Williams at PLUSH (all provided by dotmusic) will entertain the party crowd well into the early hours. Other attractions include a silent auction where guests can bid for a selection of luxury prizes, including signed sporting memorabilia, a holiday to The Maldives and limited edition designer watches. All profits raised from the silent auction go to The Everyman Campaign.
The Everyman Campaign to fight Testicular Cancer is run by The Institute Of Cancer Research. The Everyman Campaign has gone from strength to strength since it began in 1997. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer amongst young men aged between 20–35. Cases of testicular cancer have risen by 70% in the last 20 years and the reasons are not yet known. If caught early enough, the disease can have a 96% cure rate.
