Corporate partnerships at the ICR

Why partner with us?

One in two of us will develop some form of cancer within our lifetime.

Cancer patients are living longer and better than ever before. Thanks to advances in available treatments, your chances of surviving a cancer diagnosis today are double what they would have been in the 1970s.

But the disease remains a leading cause of death globally and continues to claim far too many lives. And the research shows that rates are on the rise.

The Institute of Cancer Research’s world-leading scientists have been at the coalface of groundbreaking cancer discoveries since 1909.

The ICR boasts a team of world-renowned cancer researchers, recognized as some of the very best in their field. We can defeat cancer, and we can save and improve millions of lives – but we cannot do it alone.

What does a partnership with the ICR look like?

Every corporate is unique and deserves a bespoke, strategic partnership plan that meets your needs.

Your account manager will get to know you and your requirements for our partnership, ensuring that together we can deliver to the best of our joint abilities and create genuine positive impact.

These are just a few examples of how our partners like to work with us. You could:

Choose a lab. Showcase your commitment to defeating cancer by “twinning” your boardroom with one of our labs. Fundraise or donate towards the lab’s work and both spaces will bear a plaque to celebrate your generosity.

Drive diversity in STEM. Support our Careers in Research open evenings and help us inspire young people to pursue cancer research.

Fight inequality in cancer care. Patients in less wealthy countries often face worse cancer outcomes. You can help improve research and access to care across the world through the Centre for Global Oncology.

Run for Terry Fox. This heroic young Canadian raised over $24 million CAD for cancer research before passing away in 1980 from bone cancer, aged 22. Every year, thousands follow his legacy by completing their local Terry Fox Run. Sign up a team today.

Fund the future. Pledge to raise the funds necessary for a scholarship that will allow a brilliant young mind to complete their PhD in cancer research. See how One More City did it.

Sponsor the annual ICR Conference. Bring a stand, meet our scientists, and support the next generation of leaders in cancer research.

Lend us your minds. Donating your skills, time, and services pro bono allows us access to resources that we would not otherwise have, but which can have a profound impact on how far and how fast we can go in defeating cancer.

We’ve all been touched by cancer at some point in our lives, whether personally or through a family or friend. Sadly, half of us will develop cancer in our lifetimes. That’s why the work of The Institute of Cancer Research is so important. Olaide Oboh, Executive Director at Socius

With thanks to Life Technologies, Prior Scientific, and Smart Sec Solutions for sponsoring the ICR Conference 2024.

What can a partnership do for you?

By collaborating closely to build a strategic partnership that is greater than the sum of its parts, you will be sure to see the impact of your efforts and support your strategic aims.

  You can also have:
  • A “lunch and learn” hour at your workplace. These informative sessions break up the working week and encourage staff to spend time together at the office. We will bring our fascinating science to you in an accessible format.

  • A lab tour at one of our Chelsea or Sutton campuses. Our scientists will bring their work to life and show you what is really going on at the vanguard of cancer research discoveries. For small groups.

  • Invitations to exclusive events. Our quarterly Donor Receptions are a unique opportunity to network with like-minded people and hear directly from world-leading scientists over champagne and canapes.
