The Institute of Cancer Research has achieved star status within the 2007 Best Companies Accreditation Standard.
Jonathan Austin, Chief Executive of Best Companies said, “The Institute of Cancer Research’s 2007 accreditation is an outstanding achievement. It confirms its commitment to the on-going journey of workplace engagement. Our role is to set a rigorous benchmark so that organisations can become even better employers.”
The organisation is one of just two hundred and seventy three that have this year been awarded with this significant accolade.
“We are really pleased that our staff think that The Institute of Cancer Research is a good place to work. Over the coming months we will be reviewing their feedback and building our human resources strategy around it,” said HR director Cathy Scivier.
The status was decided from data gathered by Best Companies, who asked over 400,000 employees about what they want from their workplace experience. Having surveyed over 1,900 organisations they are in a strong position to identify best practice within the UK labour market.
