Shaving Lives!

Friday 6 June 2003

Celebrities, top businessmen and city workers joined the Everyman Male Cancer Awareness Campaign and corporate sponsor, King of Shaves on Friday 6th of June for a truly Big Shave.

Men were urged to forgo their usual morning shave and come along to The Broadgate to experience a Big Shave from the glamorous ShaveSquad led by Model Lisa B and Actress Ebony Thomas.

Famous men who submitted to the ShaveSquad on the day included Comedian and They Think Its All Over panellist Rory McGrath.

Rory McGrath says, “I’m delighted to support the Everyman Male Cancer Awareness Campaign, although it could mean its all over for my much loved beard!”

The first 1000 people to register online to hold their own sponsored shaving event will be sent a free shave kit courtesy of the event’s corporate sponsor, King of Shaves. Also the glamorous ShaveSquad will be appearing at major sporting exhibitions (1) until the end of the year, targeting half a million young men to offer them a shave and some basic information about male cancer awareness.

All money raised at The Big Shave will go to the Everyman Male Cancer Research Centre at The Institute of Cancer Research, Freephone 0800 731 9468.
