Professor James's group focuses on improving and designing clinical trials for prostate and bladder cancer.
Professor James is a clinical academic who seeks to improve patient outcomes via large scale clinical trials. His work focuses on bladder and prostate cancer with a strong emphasis on novel trial design.
I am an MD(Res) student at the ICR and a clinical fellow at MRC CTU STAMPEDE trial. My research interests include studying the predictive value of PET CT imaging and subsequent clinical outcomes in mHSPC. My role involves setting up a new arm of the STAMPEDE trial investigating SABR in men with newly diagnosed oligometastatic prostate cancer.
I am a PhD student under the joint supervision of Prof Nick James, Dr Anna Wilkins and Prof Alan Melcher. I am working on analyses of clinical trial samples from patients with various stages of bladder cancer undergoing chemo, radio and immunotherapy. I am interested in how the immune microenvironment changes during therapy, and how immune markers correlate with tumour stage, prognosis and outcomes of therapy.
I am a MD(Res) student under joint supervision of Professor Nick James, Mr Declan Cahill, Professor Ros Eeles and Dr Anna Wilkins. I am working on the Man Van Project which is designed to increase patient access and support to cancer investigation pathways by offering targeted community testing for urological cancers and other health conditions.
Anna Wilkins is a Clinician Scientist at the ICR and an Honorary Consultant in Clinical Oncology at the Royal Marsden, working in the Prostate and Bladder Research Group.
