How does the ICR use cookies?
Site functionality cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. The cookies we use are outlined below.
You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not then work. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.
Analytical cookies
Google Analytics
We use cookies for analytical purposes to help us make our website better for those who visit it regularly. They help us work out what users like and don’t like and how we can improve things.
In order to do this we only collect part of your IP address and information generated about the use of the website. We work with a trusted third party, Google Web Analytics, who process this information on our behalf.
Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google inc. that enables us to measure how people use our website using cookies. We use this information to improve our website experience for website visitors and to measure the effectiveness of our online advertising.
You may also stop the transmission of information generated by the cookies about your use of the website and of your IP address to Google, by downloading and installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
_ga, _gid and _gat
These are performance cookies from Google Analytics which we use to collect information about how our visitors use the website. It uses partial IP address to do this.
We use this information to compile reports and to improve the website experience. The cookies collect information such as: the number of visitors to the website, where visitors have come from and the pages they visited. See Google's privacy policy for more details.
Hotjar
We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us collect feedback from our users and better understand users behaviour.
Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data. This can include a device's IP address (stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website.
Information is stored in a pseudonymised user profile and Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf. We only use Hotjar if consent is granted via our website's cookie banner and use of Hotjar can be disabled at any time.
